Can yellow teeth become white again?

Even severely discoloured teeth can benefit from teeth whitening.

If you have staining related to oral hygiene (plaque and tartar) this will be removed prior to starting your whitening treatment. One of our hygienists will do this for you at a separate appointment, and it will help to maximise the results of your whitening treatments.

We can also use our Airflow polishing system to get rid of thicker plaque and tartar staining along your gum line, leaving your teeth looking as blemish-free as possible before starting with your teeth whitening trays.

How long do I wear my whitening trays each day?

You should wear your whitening trays for between 4 and 6 hours within a 24-hour period to achieve results within a two-week window.

If you’ve had whitening done in the last year and you’d like to top up the shade, you may just need to wear them for 1-2 hours a day for 5 or 6 days.

Is whitening safe for your teeth?

When teeth whitening is carried out under the supervision of a dentist, it’s completely safe.

We encourage you to stay away from over-the-counter whitening processes, and to never see anyone except a dental professional for teeth whitening (it isn’t safe and the results won’t look good).

Why are my teeth yellow when I brush them every day?

Your diet has a significant impact on the shade of your teeth.

Unsurprisingly, consuming teeth-staining food and drinks high in tannins will inevitably dull your tooth shade, whilst plaque and tartar can give your teeth an unsightly brown stain.
